I’m back and ready to get healthy again! This past year has been stressful to say the least (between school, work, and life in general), but now that I’m on summer break I’m ready to get back into healthy living! I’ve taken starting measurements and recorded my weight and will consider these my starting points:
These numbers are absolutely higher than I would like to see, but I’m going to look at this as a chance for opportunity and not beat myself up over losing some control of my health. I’ll post my food diary later today, and will be sure to record everything on Myfitnesspal at least through August (which will end my summer weight loss mission)! I plan to make this a lasting lifestyle, but want to first focus on getting healthy through August since I have a lot more downtime without classes in session. I’ll end this post with a couple of summer goals to get me motivated to change:
1) Lose 20 pounds the healthy way.
2) Read at least 10 books for fun.
3) Do not drink alcohol until August 1st.
4) Work out at least 3 times a week.
5) Record a food diary every day, good or bad!
6) Attend a workout class.
7) Learn new recipes.
8) Motivate at least one other person to make a difference in their health.
9)Make a healthy recipe that my family enjoys.
I know I’m not a health guru quite yet, but I hope to help not only myself but others in reaching their weight loss goals. Getting healthy is not only a physical battle, but is also largely mental. I know I can do this, and I know I can help others. Time to get moving!
